Valentine's Day Zone Conference! (Februrary 11- February 16 Letter)

Happy Monday :)

What a week! What a week! It was soo busy.
We had a lot of great lessons with some of our less actives, some NEW investigators ( both are granddaughters of a less active). We taught them the restoration, and committed them to coming to church. It was so good. The less active has been coming to church for almost three weeks now- in a row:) It is a miracle, and we have been trying to get her to come back to church for months and now she's coming! What a blessing!

We have also been having many great other lessons as well too with others that we are working with. SO we have been so blessed up here in paradise :)
We had a Zone Conference  this week on Valentine's day!! It was sooo  much fun! We were spiritually fed, and there was lots of food too ;) yay! so that was great!
We learned so much on how to be better missionaries and got to hear from our Mission President, President Weston, and his wife. It was such an honor! and it was on a holiday- cherry on top! Ahh. I loved it. All of us missionaries were so grateful for the opportunity to be there and to have learned so much. The spirit was so strong! How blessed are we?!
I love this.
Since it was Valentines day, we were all given little cards and candy, and cake, etc. We are so taken care off. We even had one our Investigators there too! Her name is Dottie, and she wanted to help feed us so the sister in our ward picked her up and they came and were so excited to see us- we were excited to see them too! Our mission president and his wife met her, other missionaries met her ...soo great!

Then on Saturday, our ward had  Valentine Dance/party for everybody in the area so like Paradise 1 and 2nd, were all there. We were helping set up and Dottie was there too! It was such a great morning. Then we were able to find a few more people to teach as well.

Another cool thing, I was able to do this week was to go on exchanges with ....guess who...SIster Housely!  Remember her?? Well, she is one of  the Sister Training Leaders in my area so we were in Paradise together while Sister Dyson, was in Chico with Sister Housely's companion, Sister Lyman. It was so much fun too, it was a great experience being back with my trainer.
So this week, was really exciting.
Oh, and then on Sunday we had more people to church! Yay! Investigators, LA's, nonmembers, etc. So many people there. Oh my goodness, the spirit was strong there as well and all the lessons were about listening to the spirit. It was soo good.
Anyways, my week was so great!
and since today is preparation day- we are just getting pumped for another week of missionary work. Tonight we have dinner with Michelle and Ashley, mother-daughter, two of our investigators that we are teaching. so we're pretty excited for that.
I hope you all have had a great week as well and that your able to see miracles come about in your daily lives and know that god loves you! You have a purpose and he knows what is going on with you.
Remember, pray always! He does answer prayers. I know he does.
I love you all and hope your all well :)
Until next week,

Sister Matchett :)

Febuary 3rd-9th

Hello there! How are you all doing??
It's been a bit of a slow week up here in paradise, but you know what happened???
I 'll tell you what happened....it rained!! We are in need of so much rain, so we received it for three straight days in a row. What a blessing! Prayer and fasting works! It was really cool because the church was encouraging all in the state of California to fast for rain- our prayers were answered :)

We taught Michelle and Ashley again this week, and it was another great lesson! They are progressing so well. We also taught a bunch of less actives too- each with a different concerns but they were good lessons.

Sister Dyson, poor thing, she got sick and didn't feel at all well enough to work so we were inside for a  few days and I was transferring the paper area book into the ipad area book. We got a lot of that done and we were blessed for our efforts!
So sunday we went to church, and one of our Less Actives brought her grandchildren to church and asked if we could teach them both. One of them is 8, and the other is 9 years old- so we're going to start teaching them both. Yay! We were so happy about that, the lord is blessing us very much.

Other than that, I hope you all have had a great week! The Lord's work is hastening, and we are so lucky to be apart of it.

Remember your prayers every night, they do make a difference with how your day goes. I know it's true because I am constantly striving to work on my prayers and I'm starting to see those tender blessings in our lives as we go out to invite others to come unto christ.
I love you all, and hope you have an amazing week!!
Until next time,

Sister Matchett

January 27th- February 3rd

Hello everyone :)
Well, it's been two weeks already and now it's week three in Paradise 2nd ward. Crazy how fast it goes! The area is well spread out, and it takes about 10 minutes to get anywhere, but the view is lovely and the people are fantastic!  I love them all already and we are seeing miracles happen.
Sister Dyson is good at remembering all the people we are working with...there are a lot of investigators and less actives, as well as people to go and visit. She remembers almost all of them.
I am catching up with her haha and I just got here...so that could be it too!

We are teaching two families! Teaching families are the best, and they are so open to hearing what we have to say. Michelle and Ashley are a mother-daughter family we are teaching. They are so solid too, and are loving church. Sister Dyson and I have been meeting with them weekly. We taught them the Restoration, and they were so open about being baptized.  It's going well.

We're also teaching another mother-daughter family-  Darcy and Megan are their names. It's a blast teaching them too. They're in a different situation than Michelle and Ashley- but they are still open to learning and are so much fun to be around.

We're seeing miracles happen all the time, and we are being blessed so much with more member missionaries, and we're working all the time.
Oh, and I heard that the seahawks won the superbowl....YAY! I promise- I didn't watch it, a few of our members did and let us know how it went. so....I was obedient :) I was rooting them on even though I couldn't watch them play, and I might have prayed that they crush the Bronco's ( I apoligize for you Bronco fans..) and the seahawks won, so blessings!!

I hope all is well, and that your doing well with what is going on. I love you all, and hope you have a great week!!

love you all!!
Until next time,

Sister Matchett
