April 7th- 13th Transfer calls....

Hello, hello  everybody ! How are you doing? Well, I hope!  You ready
for Easter?
Our week was busier than last, we were both up and ready to work! We
were able to teach Emily and Kylie ( the two little girls getting
baptized on April 26th) and visit with their parents too- them and the
grandparents are all excited for the baptism coming up!! We have seen
so many miracles happen in the area. So much more are going to happen.
We have been blessed greatly here in paradise.
We also were able to see Michelle and Ashley, and set up a time to see
them too- we haven't seen them for awhile and we finally set up a time
to meet with them- it was perfect timing.

The biggest highlight if the week was transfer call, sister dyson is
getting transferred to Roseville 7th ward, and was excited to go and
serve The Lord there. She has been in paradise for about 4 months if
not longer. She has taught me a lot in being truly obedient to the
lords work and staying constantly focused in the work. We had a lot of
fun together, and now she is close yo her two month mark before she
goes home...crazy how fast time goes while your in a mission.

I am staying in paradise and sister laws, another sister I served
around in antelope, is coming up to be my companion- it's going to be
fun! She's a really great missionary...so good things to come! The
Lord always blesses us with really great companions.
On Sunday, we were able to have two investigators to church too! And
a lot of less actives came too! It was a very blessed day:)

I hope you enjoy this coming Easter Sunday- what a glorious event we
have to celebrate. The love for my savior has grown so much and I have
learned just how much he gave everything for us. What a gift it is to
live in these latter days! Check out the "He loves" video the church
website has online and share it with your friends...it's a good one!

I hope you all have a great week and that you all have a great week :)
Until next week,

Sister Matchett

March 31- April 6th. YAY General Conference weekend!!!

Hello wonderful people:)
What a weekend!
Well...this week was a slow week. Both sister Dyson and I got ill haha! remember april fools? well I really did get sick...yay me?! haha Missionaries are not always protected from sickness...although it would be nice, not all the time lol
so we were in for most of the week, however when we were able to go out and work....(and feeling up and better! and ready to go to work! )
We were able to have a lesson with Emily and Kylie, the two little girls being baptized in about 2 weeks...so close! they are getting excited! So are we!
Right afterwards we had a lesson with their parents, and we taught them the restoration. They both agreed to a soft invitation to baptism!! No official date yet, most likely in the next lesson with them though...so that will be good! But they are ready to be closer to god and want to be baptized!! That is awesome!
We were blessed for our efforts, and the Lord is helping us help his children by simply teaching his pure doctrine. How lucky are we?!
And, of course, we had General Conference!! It was SO good. I loved hearing the talks about gratitude and missionary work, and just loving others like we should. We had so many great things happen during that time, and Sister Dyson and I, we were able to receive some revelation for our investigators! yay!! that was another blessing we received.
We were blessed to have 3 of our investigators to watch general conference with us as well as 5 of our LA's that we are working with watch it in their homes! They loved it! That made us so happy!!
Pretty good week! I learned a lot about faith, and really finding strength in my testimony of Jesus Christ...and applying that in our lives DAILY! I also realized just how important our savior is, and the tremendous sacrifice he did for us...giving us hope to ALWAYS overcome our sins and to come closer with God. My love for the savior has increased dramatically and it has been such a blessing to share that with others we come in contact with, teach, and visit.
I hope you all are doing alright, and that you were able to enjoy conference too! I loved it!
Have a great week :)
Until Next Time,

Sister Nicole Matchett :)

April Fools!!!! (March 24th-30th)

Hey ya'll! How you doing?
Good I hope! well ...I have some bad news for you. This week was kinda bad...like no one wanted to talk to us..so we had a REALLY bad week! .....and I got reallly sick...and hit my head on the top part truck getting in on the passenger side...not so fun.

APRIL FOOLS! hahaha! Gotcha!

Alright, I'll tell you what really happened.
So this week was really good actually. Today we were able to go to a members home in Chico and watch The Restoration in their home movie theater...it was pretty cool! I'll attach some photos next week- time is kinda short.
It was really cool though and they were so sweet too! Our Preparation day started off well!

Sister Dyson and I were able to go and teach alot of our investigators, LA's that we work with, and talk to alot of people.
Cool story- we were able to have a woman named Kathy( one of our former investigators) commit to baptism, after a year of NOT having the lessons. We met with her, and were able to help answer her questions about life after death and as soon as we finished teaching the lesson- sister Dyson and I felt like we should invite her to baptism - and she agreed. She felt like it was right.
We're talking someone who had no interest at all for over a year, and then she agreed to it when we met with her- that was perfect timing!

We also were able to meet with Murali, a NEW investigator( referred to us by a member), on sunday she came and we were able to set up a time to meet with her too.
Lots of miracles are happening and lots of baptisms coming up! Listening the spirit has helped me so much, and I know god's hand is in the work ALWAYS. All we have to do is listen, and we will know how to bring his children closer to him- it's that simple!

We were blessed for our efforts all week, on sunday we were able to have 5 of our investigators come to church, and 3 of them are with a baptism date. We are seeing miracles happen.  The power of prayer is truly amazing! As we pray for miracles to happen, we are being blessed for our efforts.

Members are starting to be more enthusiastic about missionary work- and are sharing our posts on FB with their friends- miracles are happening and they are giving us more referrals to help us hasten the lords work. They bring it up with their conversation with friends,co-workers, etc. That's something we have been trying our best to do better at- helping the members be more proactive on FB, and now they are doing it.
So many things have happened! I could go on and on with how many miracles have happened...so much to be grateful for! How blessed are we!?

And next week, we get to hear the Prophet speak...I couldn't be more excited! Invite your friends to come and that can plant seeds! Just do it, and you'll see!
Just a tip: have some questions in mind- they can be questions about ANYTHING, and you will have them answered. Pray to have those questions answered and you will have that happen. I promise you if you do that- you'll recieve revelation from God to help you.

I guess that's long enough too, huh? lol
oh, and I really did hit my head on the top part of the truck( I don't know the name of it-but it's the top thingy that the car door fits into) though...no bleeding, of course! I'm okay mom, don't worry! I just was really excited to get back to work after eating dinner, and had a lot of energy- it hurt for like 15 minutes after then it went away. I also wasn't thinking..clearly! haha anyways...I 'm alright, that's what matters lol

I hope you all have a great week, and that you enjoy april fools! hahaha!
I love you all so much, and pray for you. Have a great week:)
Until next week,

Sister Matchett :)
