May 12th-18th

Heyyyyy ya'll! How you doing?!
This week was really good!
Monday, was super fun! Had a really good preparation day and we got to
all hang out in Chico and do email:) yay! Love emailing!
Tuesday, we had a lot of contacting with many of our investigators and
were able to have some really awesome lessons. Tena and Julie, one of
the families we are teaching asked us if we could go to the family
history room and help them with it and it was really cool to see how
the spirit was so strong as we were all learning how to do our family
history better. And sister laws even got on board and was able to learn
something too. We also were able to have like a "mini lesson"
on the Book of Mormon, and it was super fun! We were blessed by The
Lord to set up another time to meet with them. It was super good! Then
had another great lesson with a LA we are working with too. Super
good! So many miracles happened!
Wednesday, that day was kinda slow day. We did a lot of finding, we
only had one set lesson with the Frenches, and we read the really great talk "His
grace is sufficient enough" by Brad Wilcox and it was super good! It
has been really cool to see how their testimonies grow so much since
I've been here teaching them. They are amazing people! Then around the
evening, we went back to the house and got ready for the zone
conference in Redding on Thursday. So we were in bed by 10pm exact
haha! Pretty good day though
Thursday, we were up at 5am and left paradise by 6am and went on our
way to redding, I was driving so I was ready to go and drive. We had
to be there by 8:30am, sharp and we were there like 30 minutes early
hahah so we were not late. It was a really good meeting! President and
Sister Weston spoke so well and we learned how to be better
missionaries too.
Something really cool happened. There are two elders who love to
lasso!  So we got to watch them lasso another missionary (it was safe
of course!) and it was pretty good! Figured y'all would love that. We
were there for the entire day, SO MANY GOOD things were said and I
loved it. Love missions.
We didn't get back into Paradise until 6:30pm and then dinner so that
was our day.
Saturday, we did a lot of finding and then we got ready for Sunday.
Sunday, we had a great turn out. Ward council was super good! And we
saw many miracles happen, the entire Avery family was at church!
Then got ready for Monday. Today- and it was way fun. It's been super
good so far!
Love you all and hope y'all are doing well!
Until next week.

We were able to have Phil, one our investigators who never come to church  for the first time...and it was great! He seemed to like it! SO  hopefully he comes to church next week! So many miracles happened! I hope you all are seeing miracles happen too, because they are awesome! and you can see how the spirit touches each person.
On Tuesday, I was on exchanges with one of the Sister Training Leaders...Sister Allen- it was a blast being in chico. I was able to meet alot of people!
Today, Monday the 12th, was super good! We had alot of errands to run so we did that then went to chico again and it has been a great to visit with the missionaries in the zone- we have so many people here in the zone. SIster Laws also wanted to check out, Forever 21, so we did that. It was pretty relaxing to just go and do normal stuff hahaha crazyyy!?

Anyways, we have dinner tonight with one our NEW investigators...her name it Mary and it shall be a great dinner with the members and herself...it will be great! Sister Laws and I are excited!
Will fill ya in for next week! It's going to be great! I love you all and hope ya'll are doing well!

I now know how to plant really well- we are having a planting party when I get back!)) THEN, we had a really great lesson with two of our new investigators,Tony and Elena, it was such a great lesson. We had a member come to it and the spirit was so strong and we taught the restoration and were able to use the ipad with them to share a phamplet- it was really cool. Technology is amazing!
They both plan on meeting with us this coming week, and reading the Book of Mormon.
Wednesday,  was district meeting and it was a good one! We learned how to be better missionaries:) yay! Always room for improvement! then contacted as many people as possible. It was really good!
Thursday, we had a great lesson with LA,Tena, and I just love her! We read the BOM with her and it was great:)
Friday, was weekly planning and boy was it a great day!! We planned for 3 hours then went out and saw more people! mission life is the best!
Saturday and Sunday, we had Stake conference!! It was SO GOOD! the spirit was so strong, a bunch of recent converts bore their testimony on why they chose to be apart of the church! The meetings were great! and we learned so much from all who spoke!
It was planned out really well, President brown spoke really well too- and he didn't even have to look at a piece of paper lol he spoke by the spirit and everything he said was so true- great speaker! and great leader!
Two of our investigators came to church, and they loved it!! We're seeing both of them this week! and we have been working with the members a bunch using the ipad, Facebook, and helping them with their "member missionary work"  it was really cool. They have been giving us alot of people to see! Miracles are happening, it is great.
Also the chico zone is HUGE, this inculdes everyone in the area. Love this area!

Two baptisms!

Hello all!! I hope your Easter was fantastic! We had a very enjoyable Easter:)
Transfer #3 in Paradise 2nd ward with Sister Laws, week 2! (I've been here for about 14 weeks now! crazyy! )
Another great week, Sister Laws and I were busyy! we were able to make a lot of contact with members, LA's and have some really good lessons!! Lots of miracles happened! AND....we had TWO BAPTISMS!!! that's right two!! We were very blessed this week! some pictures will be below:)
Monday, we had a great P-day and got to rest from our labors of doing missionary work and it was a good break! After 6pm, we were able to have dinner then plan for the next day.
Tuesday, we did alot of street contacting and also had a lesson with one our investigators,Julie, we read the Book of Mormon and it was such a great read.
After that we went to visit one of the LA's we work with, Brother Hamner and were able to read a few verses with him and then go visit a few members and other investigators. Quite a busy day! Lots of people were seen. We also were able to set up alot of times for the next week to meet! We were also able to meet Levi, a new investigator- he agreed to meet with us to learn more about the church! It was perfect timing!
Wednesday, we had a District meeting ....which was so good! then did some visiting more members, teaching and saying hello to everyone! It was fun! then for dinner, it was at a LA's house- French's and it was a very good meal and great discussion on church and how they love coming to church! and going to class to learn more about the gospel. We also were able to use the Ipad, to share the "Because of him" video" ,then have a short lesson on the Atonement, and they agreed to meet with us next week! How lucky are we to have such wonderful tools to help those "Come unto Christ" and be given that chance to be made complete!  The rest of the night was great! worked with members with Facebook, how to share videos, and taught them a little bit of the "small and simple things" they can do to be missionaries- it was was really cool!
Thursday, We had a great lesson with Dottie, and Sister Ahrens was there too- she taught most of the lesson and was ready to help! It was such an incredible lesson and the spirit was so strong there! She is getting close to making that commitment, I can feel it. We also were able to visit those who needed to see us too! We also had a good lesson with Emily and Kylie too, they are were ready to be baptized!
Friday and Saturday, we did weekly planning and made the last minute phone calls to those who were apart of the program, and everything was able to work out well. The baptism went well!! Emily and Kylie were able to be baptized, her family was there and it was such a great evening. The family was so happy! Also on Saturday- we were able to be apart of Mormon helping hands too! It was a blast!!
Sunday, the confirmation, was so great! The spirit was so strong at church! we had a lot of people there to support them- their parents weren't there, but her grandparents were and we were able to take some photos's too! you'll see them:)
Our week was pretty good, I hope you all were able to have a great week as well and everything is going okay! Remember to read and pray, and miracles will come your way! Promise!!
Love you all, and will talk to you next week :) Peace outtt :D
Until next time,

Sister Nicole Matchett

Happy Easter!!

Heyyy! How are you doing?? I hope you had a great Easter:)
This week was really good! Transfers were last week, and I got a new companion....her name is....SIster Laws!  She is a blast!
so monday, it was packing day for sister dyson while I was preparing the room for the new sister...and we went to visit a few people before she left paradise so she could say goodbye to them- it was super busy! But it was a good one:)  She is now in Roseville, for the remainder of her mission( she has 2 months left). Crazy how fast time goes!
An older sister in the ward. sister Holmes,  was willing to take us down to antelope, and that was about a two hour drive down and up- so most of our day on tuesday was traveling and it was a crazyy day- sister laws was able to meet up and at 6pm, then off we went to paradise and we were on a adventure! we got back home by 9pm then went to bed after planning. It was a long day.
Oh, and guess what?!?! I am now driving....been out for about 7 months and I'm not on the passenger side anymore haha those 7 months have gone fast! The truck drives fantastic! Seriously, I feel like such a champ driving a truck while the elders have cars..it's pretty cool :)

We did however get a chance to spend the day with Sister Holmes and get to know her better! It was so good :)
And sister laws was able to settle in too! She has been out for 9 months, and is such fun to be around. She has such a big heart and desire to serve the lord! Good things are going to happen in this area! I can feel it!
Wednesday, thursday, and friday were really good! We had lessons with some of our investigators like Michelle and Ashley! They love coming to church, and we had a great lesson with them! Ashley, the daughter wants to be baptized in June! So we set a date for her to be baptized on June 7th, then set up another time to meet with them this coming week! We were very blessed that day! They also went to church on Easter sunday too with a family in the ward :) yay! They loved it!
Saturday we were busyy! We were visiting with some of the members in the ward...just asking them if we could help and also sharing a video that that church has produced for Easter with our Ipad- It's called "Because of him" ...IT IS SO GOOD! like seriously, Sister Laws and I, have been sharing that with so many people and watching it alot. After showing the video, we were able to show them how to "share" it with their friends, then recieved a referral and some people we could go see too! The Lord has blessed us with wonderful members in the ward who are so missionary minded! That was exactly what we needed and we were lead by the spirit to see those we needed too. It was such a cool day:)
It amazes me just how simple the Lord puts it " Ask and ye shall recieve, knock and it shall be opened unto you" - there is so much that the lord does for us and all he has ever asked us to do is simply ask! He answered my prayer as to what we could do to best use the time we have to visit those we needed to see. It was so cool to see just exactly how the lord gives us answers as we seek them out- he truly does answer our prayers. We can all have those experience everyday! I am a firm believer of prayer- it is the best way to talk to our Heavenly Father:)
Sunday was wonderful because we had the chance to celebrate the Saviors Resurrection! The spirit was so strong at church! We had 6 of our investigators at church, and 2 LA's, which was pretty good considering that most of the families( and most of the people we teach) in the ward were out of town and those people that came all loved church and made time to come! It was a miracle!
John, and Lisa Ludlow came as well as the two little girls getting baptized this coming saturday, Emily and Kylie!
They had their baptismal interview after church, and did so well :)
They are getting so excited for their baptism, and we are going to meet with them twice this week and everything is ready to go for the baptism!
This monday was pretty good! It;s been a relaxed day and we are loving paradise!
I hope you all have gotten a chance to see that video-  it is really good! If you haven't seen it yet- WATCH IT. It's a really cool video to share with your friends too!
I also hope you had a great Easter Sunday:) I love you all and pray for you all daily:)
Until Next week,

Sister Nicole Matchett :)
