Merry Christmas Everybody :)
Well, last week was a bit crazy lol with transfers, helping Sister Paul unpack, going to two zone conferences, and of course being a missionary. It's the best though.
Last Monday, Preparation day was a bit rushed because we had to go to a tire shop and take care of tires...fun! I spent about 3 hours there, and then we had to go get groceries, clean, and of course go back to work at 6pm so it was a bit busy haha but we got everything done so we could focus on the work and be tools in the Lord's hands.
Tuesday, we went to a zone conference with all the southern areas in the mission and we were each given Ipad mini's as tools to help hasten the Lord's work. It's pretty cool, the idea is that we will all be able to look up whatever information we need out of our area book with the tap of our fingers! It's pretty fun, but we get to transfer everything from the paper area book onto the electronic area book....that isn't as much fun haha It was fun getting to learn with all the missionaries as we were presented with another tool to help share the gospel.
Wednesday and Thursday, Sister Paul and I were out talking to everyone! We were going about sharing the word of Christ and we were able to pick up 3 new investigators as well as invite some Less Actives to church, so we did alot of work those two days.
Friday, The mission had a Christmas conference with the southern zone and every area like Auburn, Antelope, Lincoln, etc had 2 musical numbers. Sister Paul and I, and the elders that serve in our ward did a Quartet and sang "O holy night" and the rest of our zone sang "Joy to the World" it was really goood. The spirit was very much there, the other zone numbers went well too, and we got to hear from the mission presdient and his wife afterwards. They spoke on the Savior's birth and talked of how we can invite Christ into our heart this Christmas, and how we can strength our relationship with Christ and share that with others esp. now at Christmas!
Will you make time for Christ this Christmas? I know I am!
Saturday and Sunday, went well and we went out and visited most of our investigators, and talked to a lot of people.
SIster Paul is great! and we get along well. She is a Sister Training Leader so that means I get to go on exchanges a lot, and show other sisters our area when I stay in Rio Linda. It's exciting, and I can't wait! Everything is falling into place, and the work is hastening.
I hope your Christmas is wonderful, and that you remember to let Christ come into your home for this holiday. I love you all and keep you in my prayers. I am blessed so very much, and know that you all are amazing. Remember the best gift that you can give is love, and we all have that so share it with everyone you meet- they will feel the Christmas Spirit.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
Until Next time,
Sister Matchett
