Feb 2nd-9th

Monday, Febuary 2nd. Preparation day!
Doing the usual plus packing so it's going to be a busy day today.  We
are also going to make a few more visits so I can see my friends
before I leave. We left early to go see a few more people before
dinner. So more pictures. Dinner was with sister fregnal. And it was
great. We stopped by the astles, and they gave me a departing gift and
card. I got emotional when they were asking me deep questions about
the mission experience, and then asked me to say the prayer. The
spirit was so strong while we were there. There's something cool about
that family that really hits home for me.
Then we celebrated sister pickups birthday early with sparkling cider
since I'll be in Chico when it actually happens. Then packing...boo:(

Tuesday, Febuary 3rd. Transfer day.
Got pictures with sister thomson, and a few more people. Sister
Addley, bishops wife came and got me and off I went to Chico with her!
I left with sister Addley around 11am, and I departed from sister
pickup. It was rough...we both were so sad but we will see eachother
again.
Sister Addley and I had a great visit on our way, we got there. I met
my new companion sister woods. She's from England, loves Harry Potter,
and everything about food. She was excited to see me too. We live with
a widow, and her name is sister Powell. She's awesome. I got settled
in, then around 2pm we went to see people in Chico. Day 1 was a
success. It's fun to be in Chico again! The work here is moving, and
I'm lucky enough to be apart of it.

Wednesday, Febuary 4th.
We had district meeting and it was great. It was cool getting to know
the elders and learn a little of how the area is doing. This is the
fun part- getting to learn another area.
Lunch, then out to visit more people. We had dinner with some people
in the area. It was nice, really chill people.
Then home and planning. It's offically 17months now.

Thursday, Febuary 5th.
We went and did more visits today. It was fun! I just met a lot of
people in Chico, and they are all amazing. We also got bunch of
teaching records from the chico 4th elders to go see...like around 140
people so we will be busy.
Sister woods is great, and I love serving around her.
Great day!

Friday, February 6th.
It's sister pickups birthday today. So I sent her a card, cuz I miss that girl.
Sister woods and I had planning today, and it was a change from how I
have done it before. But that's just how transfers work. We were going
through the list of people and I instantly knew one of the people
who's looking into the church- a guy named Jason. So that was cool.
And he wants to meet with us! He's awesome, I met him while I served
in paradise. It's a small world.
We had a lesson with lady named pat, and she's doing great- the only
hang up she has is coffee..but she's willing to give it up when it's
the right time, and still wants to be baptized.
Then more visits with people!
Dinner was with the montagues. So it was fun! Then we went and
contacted a family. The are ready to hear the gospel- the mom is
interested and the kids liked us so we are teaching and seeing
miracles. Then home and normal routine.

Saturday, Febuary 7th.
We had a great day!
We had lessons back to back. First lesson was with a lady named Evie,
a friend of another older sister in the Ward, and she is so ready to
hear the gospel. We taught the plan of salvation and she loved it. She
plans on being at church tomorrow. We also checked up on Wanda and she
is feeling somewhat better so that's good.
Our next visit was with a less active, who is slowly coming back but
loves visits from the missionaries so that was awesome. We went and
tried to contact Jason, but he wasn't home. We will try again! Then
dinner with a lovely family, and it was yummy. Then we headed over to
the church for a lesson with Imelda and her daughter, Lucinda and
family- it was great! We talked about scriptures and got some things
taken care of for Imelda's baptism coming up in a week. Around 8pm,
president and sister Paulson came for her baptismal interview so we
talked for a little bit before Imelda and president Paulson did the
interview. The rest of us just hung out until that was over. Then home
after that, and normal routine.

Sunday, Febuary 8th.
First Sunday in Chico!
Since we cover two wards, we had some multitasking to do but it was
fun! I got to meet the members in 4th Ward as well as the 3rd. Evie,
sister Shannon's friend came to church as well as Imelda. And some of
the LA's we have been working with came too, so it was good! The
lessons went so good! And they had me go up and introduce myself and
share my testimony on the spot so that was fun lol the members here
are great!
After church we went and visited more people so that was fun! Then
after dinner we went and saw bishop wright, he's chill. And then more
people. We came home to a surprise afterwards.
President Marston called us and told us that we, sister woods and I,
are being moved because of some stuff going on in different areas so
he's moving us! I'm going to antelope, and sister woods is going to
marysville to shotgun the area( start the area up for sisters). It was
a great week in chico. We had 27 lessons, and we saw so many miracles.
Sometimes we don't know why things happen, but they do. This is a time
where you just go and do. So we are getting ready to clean up the
room, and prepare the area for the elders coming in.

Monday, Febuary 9th.
Packing again( cuz I love packing) and saying goodbyes, and hanging
out with missionaries for my last and final p-day in chico. It will be
great. Everything is working out.
Missions keep you busy.

Hope yall have a great day! And talk next week!
Until next week,

Sister Matchett
