June 9th- 16th

Hello everyone!
How was your week? I hope it was a good one! This week was busy for
sister laws and I, that's for sure.
Monday, typical preparation day. Nothing really new happened. We
officially had the "ok" to move in with the sister who agreed to let
us live there( so blessed! ) so we did that for half of our day and
later in the evening, I packed again for an exchange with one of the
Sister Training Leaders, Sister Allen, who is serving in Chico, and I
left to go there around 8:30pm while sister laws and sister Curtis(
sister Allen's companion) came to paradise for tomorrow while I was on
my way to Chico. Then arrived at their apartments and did the normal
routine.
Tuesday, my day in Chico. It was really hot....like 110 degrees so we
were drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. I got to meet a lot of
the people down there that the sisters are working with! It was way
fun, a lot of the people they have to teach are much younger than some
of ours lol like my age, so it was fun to be around college students
hahaha!
It was a pretty good day! Sister Allen was having to send in her
driving record again( i guess  the mission office lost her papers? Or
something like that...idk) so I was driving their car, and it was
super nice! She just told me where to go and I went! We exchanged back
in paradise, and recapped what our day was like...we both had really
good ones! Some of the investigators we have done so much and are
progressing so well, it was really cool to hear that after witnessing
miracles in the STL's area with their investigators! I love exchanges!
Wednesday,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG D! ( sorry it was a bit late lol but I hope you
know how much I love you and how proud I am of you:) your the best! )
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST LADY AROUND TOWN....MY GRANDMA FORREY!
I love you and hope you had a great day as well!

we had zone conference in Chico! So that was really good, we were
able to get some referrals from some of the other missionaries in
Chico, some insight to help so,e of our current investigators out ,
and to recieve some insight to help us grow as person. It was a really
good meeting!
After that meeting, elder falls( one of the people from the mission
office) called us and asked if we would be back in paradise  by 1pm to
open the door to our new home so they could drop off some beds,
dressers, shelves, etc. then help us move out the rest of our stuff
from the hunts. We said yes, and off we went to paradise. The elders
in paradise also helped. We got a lot done too! It was way nice and we
were officially moved out and all of the furniture was moved too. We
are so lucky to be sisters! That's for sure! We did that for an hour
then went about our day.
The biggest thing was our lesson with jerry and Lisa, they are
progressing so well, and have so many questions! We had another member
there from the bishopric so he was able to answer most of the
questions they had. Brother milberg, invited them to push their date
up to baptism last time we had a lesson...and they were thinking about
it. When we saw them on Wednesday, they told us that that had decided
in July 19th! So we are having some baptisms coming really soon! And
her brother, the one who loves in Texas is way excited for them! He is
flying out to come and baptized them!
After their lesson, we came home and planned. Then bed.
Thursday,
Kinda of a slow day. But we were able to have some lessons with some
of the LA's that we have been teaching for awhile then went by to see
most of the people we have been teaching as well as many members to
follow-up with their fasting for the 40 day fast. So we were talking
with a lot of people. We also went by jerry and Lisa's just to see how
they were doing....and we got there just in time to meet their
daughter, Tawni, and she is way nice! She had questions so we answered
some of them then gave her a BOM....she agreed to meet with us to come
to their lessons so that was cool! So we will see them All on Monday
night! ( tonight)
Then same routine.
Friday, it was planning. So we were inside most of the day. All of our
appointments cancelled, so we did some finding, finished moving in all
of our stuff, and then went to dinner. Sister Wilson asked us what we
were going to do when we got home, I didn't know at all. Sister laws
didn't ethier so now we are both praying to know what we should do.
Crazy to think I have only 9 more months left to figure out my
future....real life is so hard compared to mission life.

Saturday, we did some more finding and it was really hot outside so
since no one had signed up to fast in the 40 day fast, we were
fasting. It was challenging but we made it! Dinner was at the park
with the Holmes, and their neighbors who we have talked to briefly
before, it was fun to get to know them and share a message with them!
So that was the highlight of our day lol,but it was an awesome way to
meet some new people and build trust with them over food.
Sunday, we had church which was amazing! Jerry, Lisa, Michelle, Phil,
and Ashley came, two families! They stayed all three hours and loved
it! Everything was so inspired too! It was such a great day! The talks
were so good!
Then we had dinner with manwills, they have to daughters out in
missions so they are very missionary minded and it was such an
enjoyable meal! After dinner, we were invited by jerry and Lisa to
come over and visit them for the Father's Day party they were having!
So we went, and did that. Got to meet more family members, we saw
Tawni again! And it was way nice! We got some awesome pictures too!
I'll send them to y'all too. They are so much fun! Love them so much!
Monday, today! Typical Monday haha nothing much else has happened.
We're going down to Chico to do some errands then hanging out with the
other missionaries.
After 6pm, we have dinner and a lesson with jerry and Lisa and their
family! So it's going to be a great night!
I hope you all have a great week and that your seeing miracles happen!
I love you so much and pray often for y'all. Have a blessed week!
Until next week,

Sister Matchett :)
