October 27th- November 3rd

Hellllo alllll! Hope yall had a great week! Another great week full of
miracles. It's been great. ONTO THE LETTER.
Enjoy my mini novel :) haha!
Monday, October 27th.
Typical prep day, did most of the usual. Then met up with the other
missionaries in the lincoln zone at noon, and then left to go the
sunsplash entertainment place that one of loomis 1st members own. We
got rides figured out, and went and played laser tag like 4 times, go
carting, games, and hung out with the missionaries in the place....we
were the only ones there for hours.
Seriously, so blessed. We all loved just chilling out for like 5 hours
then all left at 5pm to go drop of the Spanish sisters, change then
headed to loomis for the rest of the day.
Went to dinner with sister butler, and it was such a good visit! Then
to the wooden family to start their fast with them and got to know
more about them...turns out sister wooden knows brandon thomas(
Someone we are teaching). Cool stuff.
Then went and followed up with sister mcready, on how her week was
with her one day of fasting. It was great! Then came home. The work
here is going already....miracles are happening...and the members are
getting excited. I love being able to see those miracles happen too.

Tuesday, October 28th.
DM was so good! I love this district. Lots of good things were said.
And we all recieved some good insights for those that we have been
given to teach.
Lunch, the elders wanted some pictures for fall so we took som
pictures lol funniest thing to watch them try to figure out what to do
in photos.
Then went to visit a few people, then saw rachel mcgiguan. We met her
husband, mike, who isn't a member, and he was really nice! That was a
huge miracle! Right after that, we went to drop off an ensign that our
WML, brother stoddard, gave us and we ran into his wife and chatted
with her a little bit....helped her out with stuff she wanted to get
done, then left to go back home and I packed for exchanges while
sister pickup made phone calls then dinner with the blatters. And it
was such a treat! I love their family so much! Then went to the church
for BOM class- us, the loomis first elders( johnson and rubow) and
another gentlemen from loomis 2nd came( those elders aka the ZL's had
a lesson so it wasn't too big of a deal haha ) and it was a really
good read!
Then around 8pm, left to go meet the STL's sister Bugg and Marx for
exchanges. I'm in lincoln with sister bugg while sister pickup runs
loomis with sister Marx. I'm excited! It's bound to be a good day!
Lots of miracles are happening.

Wednesday, October 29th. EXCHANGES = PMG kind of a day.
It was a perfect morning! Everything sister bugg and I did went so
well! Did the normal morning schedule, studied, then right after we
got out to see people....this lady named Mary Lou started talking to
us...we got talking and she asked us a bunch of questions...and ASKED
for a Book of Mormon, she was so prepared by the lord to hear his
message...and we were lucky enough to be apart of that miracle. We
gave her the lincoln sisters number, left her with the invitation to
read the introduction...everything..it was a Preach My Gospel
moment....and that was just the start of the day! Literally right
after we prayed to see miracles happened...prayer was answered!
Went and visited more LA's, their neighbors, had some really great
lessons with some of the people they are teaching. They had members
involved in a lot of what they were doing, and then dinner( SO GOOD
btw) was with an active lady sister packers and her friend patty, who
is a Buddhist...it was fun getting to know them, then have a really
good lesson with them after about the beliefs we had. Then a couple of
other lessons with their RC's, and investigators. It all worked out so well. We
were talking to people, had fun, and got some pictures in. It was a
perfect day.  It was also fun getting to serve around sister bugg too!
We are exactly the same as far as how long we have been out and work
so well together! I just love exchanges! Zone blitz( scavenger hunt
for new investigators in an area with all the missionaries in the
zone) is going down in lincoln 6th, and before that more service. So
we just are going to exchange back at the zone blitz at 10am Thursday
and I'll be back with sister pickup! It was a PMG day yall!
AND I packed enough haha! The lord had it all figured out! Mission
life is great!

Thursday, October 30th.
Good morning! We got up, and prepared for the day. Some of the lincoln
missionaries needed extra hands for service so sister bugg and I went,
and they were surprised to see me haha! It was a bit funny to see
their reaction..normally exchanges are only 1 day...we just extended
it by one more night lol it all worked out. We helped out people from
the bayside church move stuff, then all went to the church and changed
and we exchanged back to our original companions. Sister Marx and
pickup had a great day!
All of the missionaries met up at the stake center, we were all given
our areas to cover for the Lincoln 6h Ward...then off to work we went.
We did a lot of tracting in a small streets...it was townhouses so at
least 80 doors we knocked and left cards at their door and talked to
maybe 10 people. So we used up a lot of pass along cards. That was
half our day...for 4-5 hours then went and did more streets with the
same thing...and some people that lincoln 6th elders asked us to see
so it was great!
Then dinner! IT WAS A PARTY YALL. There was about 20 missionaries
there in total, we were all laughing and ate, then sang the mission
song, took pictures, and got to hang out after working hard all day. I
LOVE THIS ZONE. we all get along so well. Mission life is the
besttttt. Then tried to visit more people, then all met up at the
church to give lincoln 6th elders all of the info we got. And then all
left to get back to our areas.
Turns out that sister bugg and Marx locked their car keys in their
trunk...hahaha those crazyyyy sisters! So we took them home then went
home, cuz we figured it would be better to not have them bike on the
freeway at night too haha so it was a great day! Lots of miracles
happened. I got to understand a tiny bit of what it feels to shotgun
an area....so much work goes into it. We relied fully on the lord to
do it- he knows what to do. Good day!

Friday, October 31st.
Good day! Did service for one our investigators, had a lesson. Then
for lunch we went to taylors...and owed the elders ice cream for doing
service, they helped a lot. So we all ate. It was raining, and lots of
high school kids were there too...SO MANY. It was a good experience
though, some kids came up to us while we were eating. That was cool.
Then went and visited more people. Then went to the church for dinner,
and it was a chili cook off/ trunk or treat/ Ward party! It was goood!
Lots of members invited their friends who weren't members, and we saw
some people that we invited to come too! And got to know the ward
more! It was great! Then left right after to get in before it got too
crowded...they didn't want us out on Halloween haha I wonder why?!
Came home, planned, finished some things we needed too, and chilled
the rest of the night after we did our nightly planning. It rained so
much that night too. About 4 inches. And got to see sister thomsons
son and his family too!
Exciting day for my second Halloween on the mission! I'm starting to
repeat holidays yall. The next few holidays are going to fly by.

Saturday, November 1st.
Woke up, and studied for a bit. Went downstairs and Jessica, sister
thomsons daughter in law, was freaking out. Turns out the rain from
the night before soaked everything in their living room ( which
happens to be the very first room where water can get in) so we helped
them move everything. Clean, got down and dirty to get the padding out
so it didn't stink up the house, then helped them do whatever else
they needed. We did service for half our day at our house! It was good
that we were there, and that her son and his family were there to help
them out. There was a lot of work to do.
Around 2, got cleaned up a little bit and did more service for another
lady in our Ward...and helped her clean and organize her room. Set up
another time to do service for another member while there via cell
phone. Then came home, really cleaned up then got ready for dinner
with the schmokels. It was such a good meal! I love them so much! Then
went to see a few more people before we came home. Then got ready for
Sunday!

Sunday, November 2nd.
Had meetings in the morning, and then church. It was so great. There
was a special spirit in this fast and testimony meeting. I love the
ward here. The people are so missionary minded.
We didn't have any investigators there, but a few LA's we've been
working with came!
After church, we had dinner with the joyners around 5:30pm and it was
a great meal...spaghetti and then tried a really good Mexican
dish....YUM. I just love their family, she had like a mini reunion. It
was great. Shares a thought, then left to go visit with the powers
family, and it was another great visit...her parents were there again.
So we all chatted for a few minutes then got talking and sister powers
gave us a referral! It was so great! Then home and Sunday night
routine. Another great week!
40 day fast is going well. Work here is getting better and better.

Monday, November 3rd.
P-day! Typical stuff. Excited to go play sports and hang out with
other missionaries. Love sports days. Will let yall know how the rest
goes next week.

It's a bit longer than usual, just so many good things happened. I
love being a missionary. I love yall so much! I love my family. Life
is great right now.
And yes, we took some pictures this week! Some from Halloween, and
some from just being out and about while visiting people.
LOVE YALL!
Until next week,
Sister Matchett
